Hello folks, Chef Peter at Matisse 167 here. Valentine’s Day is coming up pretty soon. Over the years we have been voted the most romantic or one of the most romantic restaurants in New Jersey. We appreciate that so much! We’ve had a few marriage proposals over the years. It’s really an honor to be a part of it. Valentine’s Day is on Wednesday this year the 14th. We are a small place and so we celebrate Valentine’s Day all week long! Starting this year on Friday the ninth through Sunday the 18th. Valentine’s Day Week. If you can’t make it on the 14th, think about us for those other evenings. It’s the same kind of romance, the same kind of feel. So we look forward to having you join us for that.
Also, after Valentine’s Day we are going to a four day schedule. That will start on February 22. We will begin our Spring Schedule and be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and will reopen Wednesdays on May 22. That’s about the time our Patio Garden will start to become ready. Many people love the Garden. Before Memorial Day it is really too cool in the Garden at night for the food to get to the table and retain the correct temperature. For our Summer Schedule, we will go back to five days, and will be open again on Wednesdays.
I love our Patio Garden in the Summertime. It’s very ethereal kind of space that just takes you to the whole new place. It really is a special spot. This is Chef Peter at Matisse 167.
